About this game

Asteroid Dodge is a survival game with two clocks running at once. The obvious one is your three lives, shown as hearts in the corner of the screen. The subtler one is the fuel bar: it drains continuously, and it only refills when you successfully dodge an asteroid off the bottom of the screen.

That fuel mechanic is what turns a simple dodging game into a decision problem. Sitting safely in a corner empties your tank; deliberately flying into the traffic flow to intercept asteroids is dangerous but pays for itself. The sweet spot is a gentle S-curve through the middle third of the field, where you meet a steady stream of rocks without ever being trapped.

Asteroids spawn faster the longer you survive, and the run gets genuinely brutal after about ninety seconds. Colliding costs a life but does not slow the field down, so a mistake late in a run usually ends it within a few seconds — there is no recovery, only precision.

Rock count is your score, and the best figure is stored on your device. A good run is two to three minutes; a great one is five.

How to play

  1. Weave an S-curve through the middle third rather than hiding in a corner.
  2. Every rock you let fall off the screen adds fuel, so actively meet them.
  3. Keep both hands on the edges: a fast exit left or right is your only defence.
  4. After sixty seconds the spawn rate doubles — start moving earlier.
  5. Never chase two rocks in the same lane; pick the safer one.

Questions

What is the fuel bar?

A continuous timer that refills each time an asteroid leaves the bottom of the screen. When it empties the run ends.

How many lives do I have?

Three. Each collision removes one heart and does not slow the asteroid field down.

Does the difficulty change?

Asteroids spawn faster and faster; after around ninety seconds the field is at maximum density.

Is there a way to pause?

Yes, the pause button freezes the field so you can rest your thumb.
