About this game

Tower Defend is a compact strategy game with a fixed map and a fixed path. Enemies walk the same route every wave, which means every mistake you make is a placement mistake, not a difficulty spike you could not have seen. Twenty waves, a limited budget and a small set of tower types is the whole game.

The economy is the real puzzle. Every coin spent on a new tower is a coin not spent upgrading an existing one, and a single level-three tower usually out-damages three level-one towers on the same stretch of path. Learning when to stop expanding and start concentrating is the skill that separates wave ten from wave twenty.

Enemy types force specific answers. Fast units slip past slow-firing towers, armoured units shrug off small hits, and shielded units need sustained fire. Because the path never forks, you can stack overlapping coverage at the two corners and let the rest of the map go unbought.

A full run takes around ten to fifteen minutes and ends either at wave twenty or when a single enemy reaches the exit. Progress is saved locally, so a failed run still teaches you something for the next one.

How to play

  1. Build at the two corners first: enemies spend more time in range there than on straights.
  2. Concentrate rather than spread — upgrade one tower to level three before buying a fourth.
  3. Match tower type to the wave: fast enemies need rapid fire, armour needs sustained damage.
  4. Do not blanket the map; overlapping coverage on one stretch beats even coverage everywhere.
  5. Save a reserve of coins for the wave that introduces a new enemy type so you can react immediately.

Questions

How many waves are there?

Twenty. Reaching wave twenty with a life remaining is a completed run.

Can enemies take a different path?

No, the route is fixed, which makes every failure a placement decision you can review.

What happens if an enemy reaches the exit?

You lose one life. At zero lives the run ends.

Are tower upgrades permanent?

Within a run, yes — nothing is sold back automatically, so spend deliberately.
